PGR Ride for SGT Michael D. Rowe
7 April 2006, New Port Richey, Florida

Friday morning, 7 April 2006, American Legion Riders Director Big Bob McGann, his son Bill McGann,  William "Weird Al" Westlake, Jerry "Krash" Parnall and Bob Gleason made the trip to New Port Richey to honor and show our respect for fallen hero SGT Michael D. Rowe who sacrificed his life for his country in Iraq on March 28, 2006.
Services were held for SGT Rowe in his hometown of New Port Richey at Living Word Church.
After the services Patriot Guard Riders from all over the state escorted his body to the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. The funeral procession was led by SGT Rowe's father, Dave Rowe, himself a Vietnam Veteran. Nearly 140 motorcycles made up the final escort for SGT Rowe.
SGT Michael D. Rowe was laid to rest with  full military honors and with the respect he was due. It was an emotional experience for everyone who attended.
Each of us from PGR and the American Legion Riders Post 104 was honored to serve and recognize SGT Rowe and his families sacrifice.
